Posted on Updated on

An invitation to all doctoral researchers,

We would like to invite you to take part in the School of Education and Social Works Doctoral Student Research Conference 2010: Undertaking Inclusive Research. The conference will take place on 8th July on the University of Sussex campus and is supported by the Sussex Doctoral School.

The main objective of the conference is to offer research students the opportunity to present their work in progress to wider audiences, either through a paper or poster presentation. With a particular focus on methodological issues, the conference provides an environment to share ideas, techniques and skills in doing research, and address practical problems in developing fieldwork across different disciplines, environments and social contexts.

Research students from UK universities working in the fields of education, social work, social policy, human rights, international development and social science related areas are encouraged to attend either as presenters or participants.

The conference will be held in the Conference Centre, 3rd Floor, Bramber House, University of Sussex, Falmer, Brighton, BN1 9QU.

If you would like to attend or participate with a paper or poster presentation, please see details on the conference website.

The deadline for submission of abstracts and posters is 13th June 2010.

ALL attendees must register whether or not you intend to present. To register, please send your name, university and area of research interest/s to:

We look forward to welcoming you.
