Guest blogger, Helen Webb, of the Library’s Research Liaison team invites you to consume cake and receive an Amazon voucher, in return for some feedback on the InfoPlus resource on the library’s webpages.
The Library’s Research Liaison team would like to invite Sussex researchers to a focus group to gather opinions on InfoPlus, our online resource for researchers.
As part of our work in supporting researchers we offer 1-2-1 sessions on making best use of the Library resources. As many doctoral researchers don’t spend much time on campus, we felt that it would be useful to put together an online resource that covered some of the areas we would talk about in our 1-2-1 teaching for researchers – effective searching, finding resources and so on. InfoPlus was designed and created for us by a doctoral researcher, and it’s been up and running since October 2009.
We’d really like to do some evaluation of it to see what’s working, what might not be working and how we can build on what we’ve got to make sure it contains the information that doctoral researchers need.
We’re planning a focus group in the Library from 10.30 to 12.30 on Friday 2nd July. All researchers are welcome – you don’t need to have used InfoPlus previously as there’ll be an opportunity in the session to use it for a couple of activities and it’s useful for us to get first impressions from people.
There will be cake and an Amazon voucher for all those who take part 🙂
