Researcher Development Fayre 2011 – Monday 12th December, 16:00-18:00

Open to Doctoral Researchers, Research Staff, Supervisors, Principal Investigators, and all staff supporting researchers.

Discover resources and training for doctoral researchers and research staff. Meet researchers of all levels from all disciplines, and celebrate with mince pies and mulled wine. Give your suggestions and feedback to the Doctoral School.

Book now through Sussex Direct – we need to know numbers to ensure we order enough mince pies and mulled wine to go round.

Stands and activities include:

  • Researcher wisdom” – collected lore, advice and tips from Sussex researchers – browse the knowledge bank and contribute your own. We’ll share this online and continue to add to it.
  • Doctoral School – events and projects, tips from previous researchers, what can we do for you?
  • Research Staff Association – find out more, meet the committee and sign up;
  • Excursions, the open-access multidisciplinary journal – meet some of the editorial board and learn about becoming an editor /or making a submission;
  • Researcher development – professional training, workshops & e-learning – for doctoral researchers, research staff, and senior researchers;
  • Teaching & Learning Development Unit – learn about becoming an Associate Tutor, and the PGCertHE for post-doctoral researchers;
  • Enterprise – activities and events;
  • Research Liaison services from the Library;
  • Careers services specifically for researchers;
  • IT Services – training, workshops, and specialist researcher services;
  • Sussex Centre for Language Studies;
  • Vitae SouthEast Hub – resources and events for research staff and doctoral researchers
