Every year students are elected to a variety of positions to help run the Students’ Union and represent the views of students. This year, for the first time, Sussex postgraduates will elect the Chair of the new Postgraduate Association.

Any University of Sussex or BSMS students can put themselves forward before 4pm on 6 February. It could be you! No experience is required, just enthusiasm, as full training and support is provided.

The roles available:
- Chair of the Postgraduate Association. A paid role for which you’ll receive a weekly allowance
- Six Full-time Officers: President, Operations Officer, Communications Officer, Education Officer, Welfare Officer, Activities Officer. Full-time paid roles starting in June
- Four Part-time Officers: Community Engagement Officer, Ethical & Environmental Officer, Media Development Officer, and Equality & Diversity Officer. Voluntary roles requiring 2-4 hours per week starting in June
- NUS conference delegates: Various voluntary places at National Union of Students annual conference and conferences for women students, black students and LGBT students, which take place in the spring
Students will be able to vote online between Monday 18 and Friday 22 February.
